We went to see our friends in Cape Town in December 2003. Prior to arriving, we had arranged a tour with one of the Great White Shark viewing operators at GANSBAAI. We headed off early from Cape Town and arrived in good time to do the trip.

Unfortunately, the boat had some "minor" trouble and we headed back to shore shortly after launching. Thanks to South African perseverance, we managed to get a slot on another boat as some people had to cancel. We got lucky! Great White sighting in December are apparently not that good. We beg to differ....

These images were taken with a Kodak instamatic "3mt waterproof camera". It cost R140-00. This has to be proof that it's not what you got, it's where you are and how you use it. We have a video/dvd of this. Those images are even better.
